THE LEGEND OF THE BEAST

From Norse lore to Greek myth, the tale of the Kraken has sparked fear in mankind. Some naysayers revile the Kraken’s existence, but as we all know, every tale has its origins in truth!

As you have arrived here intrepid explorer, we must assume that you are no such naysayer, but a believer of the beast and therefore you know of the legend. So allow us to regale you with the horrid tale of the Kraken Rum as we know it to be.

As it is told, The Kraken Rum is an imported rum from the Caribbean blended with 13 secret spices. Named for the sea beast of myth and legend, The Kraken Rum is bold, rich, black and smooth.

It is said that a ship carrying one of the largest quantities of black spiced rum ever to be brought over from the Caribbean islands, for unexplained reasons, never reached its destination. Stories were plentiful, and while an attack by the Kraken is suspected, no stories were ever confirmed.

Barrels carrying this black spiced rum drifted off the ship into the sea and the rum was renamed after the Kraken as a tribute (some say as a “sacrifice”) to this beast’s unchallengeable power and might. There are few first-hand accounts of encounters with the Kraken, as most who encounter the Kraken do not live to tell the tale.

One seafarer’s diary that was discovered washed up on one of the smaller Pacific islands holds an encounter with what scientists have deduced must have been the Kraken.
As they say, “To not respect the power of the Kraken is to not respect the sea.” So drink with respect.

COMPARISON SIZE & SCALE

The KRAKEN is the most FEARSOME of all sea monsters, living up to 3000 feet below the ocean surface. Its massive size is said to rival that of the tallest skyscrapers, inspiring awe and terror to those unlucky enough to be caught in its wake. This dreaded behemoth has been known to attack ships, dragging god-fearing seamen to their deaths.

The Beast’s favoured prey

The Kraken is said to have few natural enemies due to its immense size and formidable strength, but old tales suggest that mermen and other large marine predators have been known to foolishly pick a battle with the Beast.
