In reverence to centuries of beast-fearing sea-goers, The Kraken is housed in a replica of a Victorian flagon, which featured rings that allowed bottles to be hung up aboard ships so they would not roll around and come to harm.

Myth has it that crews would carry black cherries and vanilla pods from Madagascar as a remedy for Kraken sucker bites, the freshness counteracting the foulness. Over time, this fusion was added to their rum, in a futile attempt to deter The Beast.
